Wow! It’s the Fourth of July weekend! The country is off to a rocky start to the second half of 2022. Here at C3 there’s a new series starting this month: The Great Questions. Kent Dobson opens the series with his teaching and a David Whyte poem which ends with the phrase “questions that have no right to go away.”
Musician Beth Bombara, who last joined us toward the end of 2021, will join us again. From Tom Petty’s heartland rock & roll to Aimee Mann’s quirky indie-folk, her latest album Evergreen sources its inspiration from iconic sources. Even so, it is the unmistakably unique work of this Missouri-based singer/songwriter who, over a half-dozen albums, has nodded to past traditions while always pushing ahead into new territory.

C3 News
Behind the Scenes
One volunteer opportunity for C3 members is stacking chairs, in tens, at the end of the Gathering. There are many who help, like Sandy Kate Stephens and Bill Klouw, who “stacked” last Sunday! Thanks for the assistance!
Last Week For Social Justice Organization Suggestions
During the Civil Rights Road Trip Teaching’s Talk Back, the suggestion was made to compile a list of the favorite civil rights and social justice organizations supported by C3 members, so that many of us can have just a little courage to act. This will be the last week to add your favorites to a list in the lobby. You may also share them by email with Chrys Moelter-Gray. They will be compiled and shared in the near future.

Kent Dobson helps people orient their life to be in deeper relationship with Mystery, the shape of their own soul, and to a meaningful sense of their unique voice in the world.
Folias Duo, flutist Carmen Maret and guitarist Andrew Bergeron, are a married couple whose unique interpersonal performer-composer collaboration of nineteen years breathes new life into classical music. Their music melds characteristics of European classical music with jazz, world music, and the art of improvisation.
