Sunday Gathering

April 23, 2023 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Join us!

We gather in person every Sunday at Central Park Place. We would love for you to join us.
All events held in the Mackinaw Ballroom in Central Park Place (421 Columbus Ave., GH)

Sunday’s Schedule:

9am Pre-Talk: Meet the morning’s teacher in a small group setting for an open discussion of the morning’s theme
10am Gathering: Welcome, readings, meditation from a community member, teaching, and music
11am Talk Back: A chance to share questions, comments and stories related to the morning gathering
Kids: Each week we provide a safe and welcoming environment for kids starting at 10am. If you are looking for a Sunday morning experience for your kids that includes C3 Values, creative activities, toys, books, games and outdoor fun (when weather permits), we are here to make it happen! Miss Mary is happy to be spending time with your kids!

Sunday’s Program and Reading:

Speaker: Kent Dobson has been the lead teacher at C3 since 2017. He’s also in the guide-in-training program at Animas Valley Institute in Colorado, an organization specializing in wilderness intensives. Kent leads Israel study tours, wilderness retreats, and has his own podcast called Hints and Guesses.

Musicians: Annagail – They’ve always defied and stretched genres, equal parts singer/songwriters and rock band. Thinking man’s Americana. Pop for philosophers? Country for the curious? Rock for the recluse? Whatever you call them, Annagail weave heartache and hope for the disillusioned.

Music: Annagail

Gathering Host: David Dean

Music: Annagail

Meditation: Charlotte Rozich

Moment of Silence

Reading/Teaching: Kent Dobson

You do not have to be good.
You do not have to walk on your knees
for a hundred miles through the desert repenting.
You only have to let the soft animal of your body
love what it loves.
Tell me about despair, yours, and I will tell you mine.
Meanwhile the world goes on.
Meanwhile the sun and the clear pebbles of the rain
are moving across the landscapes,
over the prairies and the deep trees,
the mountains and the rivers.
Meanwhile the wild geese, high in the clean blue air,
are heading home again.
Whoever you are, no matter how lonely,
the world offers itself to your imagination,
calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting –
over and over announcing your place
in the family of things.
– Mary Oliver, Wild Geese
