We are a local West Michigan community formed of many perspectives, spiritual and secular, exploring what it means to be fully human, wrestling with meaning, and working together toward a better life.
C3 inspires spiritual, intellectual, and creative exploration and action, led by the questions, “what are the biggest challenges we face on our shared journey, and how do we respond to those challenges?”

Michael DeWilde
Core Teacher
Michael DeWilde (he/him), a core Guest Teacher at C3, is the director of the Koeze Business Ethics Initiative in the Seidman College of Business, as well as a full professor in the Management Department at GVSU. He holds an MTS from Harvard University and did his undergraduate work at William James College (GVSU).
Jake Stilson
Musical Guest
Big Jake Bootstrap aka Jake Stilson has been offering up his own unique brand of Americana music for the better part of the last three decades. He’s the kind of singer-songwriter who wears his heart and soul on his sleeve and can’t help but let you hear it. Part-drunken poet, part-J.R. Cash, part-rodeo clown, he’s not your average cowboy, but rather just a queer kid from the sticks trying to ride out the storm of life with a song and a prayer.
