🆕  C3 Kids Make Valentine Cards for Nursing Home Residents

The C3 Kids made beautiful Valentine cards during their time together on February 9. Cheryl Van Abbema delivered them to Riverside Nursing Home, where they were put on dinner trays to brighten the day of the residents who eat in their rooms and have few visitors. Nice job, C3 Kids!

      Outreach

Looking for Motivated C3 People to Share Our Values

We are most ourselves, most C3, when we embody ourselves in the community. That’s what C3 Outreach does, by offering a variety of exciting programs and activities through which C3 members demonstrate our values in the broader community. In the next few months, we want to expand the Outreach team and invite new volunteers, too. This Sunday, Outreach will share details about C3’s current work in this vital area and specifics on how you can help. If you have questions about being involved in Outreach, speak with Outreach Committee members Rod Van Abbema or Chrys Moelter-Gray. Learn more about Outreach here.

Three grocery carts stuffed full of food were delivered to The People Center by Char Kole (and husband and grandson) from our Week 3@C3 collection this month. Thanks to all who donated to support this organization, which does such good work in the community. The volunteer who was working that day was one Mr. Crouse—dad to our C3 Kids’ Miss Mary!

Caring for our C3 community is a shared responsibility. Community Care encourages members to support one another with notes, calls, visits, meals, and transportation. To share life events, illnesses, or hardships—or to request help—contact Cheryl Van Abbema by email or phone.

      11 a.m. Talk Back

Ruth Zwald, retired social worker/minister, makes her home on a farm, starting every dawn with good coffee and the crow of the rooster. Loving the cycles of the seasons, Ruth watches the moon and never misses a solstice or equinox turning. She is a Mesa Carrier on the Peruvian Medicine Path, which involves personal healing, transformational healing for others, and creating ceremony and ritual for ourselves and for the earth

Ruth and Max Bloomquist: Original. Traditional. Passionate. Fun. Rootsy Acoustic Americana Folk. And one of our longest, most favorite musical connections. Ruth’s award winning abilities as a songwriter and singer are accented by Max’s harmony and touch on the upright bass. Ruth’s trademark rich alto is unmistakable, and her songs evoke images and emotions common to us all.
