Outreach
Looking for Motivated C3 People to Share Our Values
We are most ourselves, most C3, when we embody ourselves in the community. That’s what C3 Outreach does, by offering a variety of exciting programs, activities, and partnerships through which C3 members demonstrate our values in the broader community:
Earth Day, Pride Fest, Hispanic Heritage Fiesta, Adopt-A-Highway and local parks Clean-up Blitz, Coalition for Community Development in Muskegon Heights, The People Center, Humanity for Prisoners, Vigil for Peace and Justice, Week 3@C3, and Red Kettle project.
In the next few months, we want to expand the Outreach team, invite new volunteers, and seek input about other opportunities. If you want to be part of any of these endeavors, or have additional ideas, or questions about being involved in Outreach, speak with Outreach Committee members Rod Van Abbema or Chrys Moelter-Gray. Learn more about Outreach here.

Charter for Compassion
🆕 Week 3@C3 in March

Cash designated for WCK, checks with WCK in the notation line, and credit card donations noted for WCK will be accepted on March 2, 9, and March 16.

Care and Concern
Caring for our C3 community is a shared responsibility. Community Care encourages members to support one another with notes, calls, visits, meals, and transportation. To share life events, illnesses, or hardships—or to request help—contact Cheryl Van Abbema by email or phone.

- Meditation: Charity McMaster
11 a.m. Talk Back

Dr. Sarah Kornfield is Associate Professor of Communication at Hope College and affiliated professor of Women’s and Gender Studies. Her research combines rhetorical criticism and feminist theory to analyze three pillars of U.S. public culture: entertainment television, Christian religiosity, and politics. She is the author of Contemporary Rhetorical Criticism, and the recently-published book from Johns Hopkins University Press, Invoking the Fathers.
Phabies, created by multi-disciplinary artist Laura Hobson, is a universe within her imagination. Their lyric-focused music is a blend of 60’s-era folk and genre-blending pop, alternative, and indie. Laura’s voice, “both lyrical and literal, is the shining star of Phabies sky of sounds, celestial yet terrestrial, rising from the earth and the core of her being so beautifully” (Eric Mitts, Revue Mag).
