C3 inspires spiritual, intellectual, and creative exploration and action, led by the questions, “what are the biggest challenges we face on our shared journey, and how do we respond to those challenges?”

C3 Teacher Kent Dobson will be with us each Sunday this month, as we explore Spirituality for the 21st Century. This week he asks, What’s a Spiritual Experience, and What’s the Point? Long-time favorites Ruth and Max Bloomquist join us once again with their musical contributions. Andy Cawthon shares a meditation.

Don’t forget the time change on Sunday! Join us at Central Park Place for the Gathering! Pre-Talk is at 9 a.m. in the Woodbine Room; the Gathering begins at 10 a.m. in the Mackinaw Room; Small Bites and Talk Back follow the Gathering. C3 Kids meet at 10 in the Woodbine Room. If you aren’t able to join us in person, you can watch the Gathering online on C3’s Facebook page.

Sunday Dinner Group

We will meet again at The Kirby at 5:30 p.m. Sunday evening. Please add your name and phone number to the list on the table at the back of the Gathering room before you leave on Sunday if you’re planning on coming. Due to our large group (27 last week!), we need to phone in the reservation by 12:30!

Caring for the members of our C3 Community is a shared communal responsibility, rather than a role reserved for a pastor, priest, or leader. Our C3 Community Care Team encourages members to support each other at time of need with notes, cards, phone calls, visits, meals, and transportation. C3 members are urged to contact the Community Care Team to inform them of life events, illness, or hardships, which can be shared with the C3 Community. To report a need or request help, or to help visit members in hospital, rehab or recovering at home, contact Cheryl Van Abbema: email or Mike and Charlotte Rozich: email.

🆕  Longtime friend of C3 Lowell VanDeRiet passed away on March 2. His wife Mary noted that “he loved being with you all both before and after the service to engage in conversation on important topics.” The funeral will be at Lakeshore Memorial Services (11939 James Street, Holland) on Saturday, March 18. Visitation is from 1-2 p.m., with the service at 2 p.m. Cards may be sent to Mary at 1495 Stoney Lake Drive, Holland, MI 49424.

Jeanne Shell, who is in Florida, fell on Wednesday, March 1, and broke her femur. She underwent surgery the next day, which went as planned. Cards may be sent to her at 70 N. McCall Road, Englewood, FL 34223.

Use your IRA and/or Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) to support C3

Would you like to save money on your taxes and support C3 at the same time? You can use money in your IRA to contribute directly to a charitable organization like C3, without it being considered a taxable distribution. The same applies if you are required to take an RMD. Be certain to consult with your tax advisor or financial representative as it is important to understand the process and follow the appropriate guidelines.

Your ongoing support of C3 is greatly appreciated. Online donations can be made here. Automatic donations can be set up by contacting Carol Takas at Selby Accounting. Checks should be sent to C3 Spiritual Community, P. O. Box 371, Grand Haven, MI 49417. C3 is a 501(c)(3) Tax-Exempt Organization. Our tax ID is 38-1960212.
